One of our last stops was one of the most remarkable volcano experiences I have seen.
Kelimutu is also of interest to geologists because there are three lakes of completely different colors, yet are at the crest of the same volcano. The 3 colors presently are rusty brown, turquoise blue, and black. Scientists predict that in the near future they will be red, white and blue.
